Surface gauge
Posted On 05/11/2008 21:13:36 by idragosani

Wow, I just picked up a used surface gauge on eBay for less then 6 freaking dollars. It's a 9" gauge, which should hopefully be more than enough. When I was a kid trying to learn stop-motion, surface gauges were way too expensive for me... I had to use a wire stuck in a block of wood, which worked well enough, I suppose, but it wasn't very positional.

Got another question. You got me looking at these on ebay. How much shipping did you end up paying on that?

Looks like a good gage, its amazing how much nicer these things are over wire isn't it?

Ya, good price.

How beneficial do you think a surface gauge is for animation? I haven't used one yet so I don't really know how much it would help.

Hey Sweet man! $6.00 is a steal.
