hey there ...guess what, still things in the air, not really in such a staring state, which means have been accomplished succesfully, lol.

just...some mundane things need to be done before magic even takes place, if that can answer your questionator?

hey, yeah It's still going, it's been a bit slow the past few weeks, cause of college/life but it should pick up more in the summer. we've got the script down, johan's still working on puppet's and I've found some people who can draw up character designs and storyboards

I think we'll be looking for voices sometime soon too, and I'll be getting my animation chops up in the summer too.

should be good, unless I screw everything up

ahaha! yes hopelessly in love....that comment was hilarious! By the way thats scarecrow character you drew up is HOTT!

You know, I've been told that it looks like Jack (from TNBC) and that just frustrated me..and I was thinking modifying his head a bit so is more ScarKruel and less jack-like..

I never planned to make him look like Jack, BY THE WAY...but you know, people and associations..you know how all that goes...

Being ambitious is not bad and if you don't reach you can't stretch, which means I do not see anything wrong! --go ahead, get inspired..you are showing great signs. One day you will be like strider, the only thing that scares me is that you are hopelessly in love. LOL. That is just a great disadvantage ..and so I admire you in such position.

Go for it!! I learned all that stuff from people on the message board at StopMotionAnimation.com, and I want to pass what I've learned along to others.

heey dude!

I saw your post on stopmotionanimation.com about making your joints out of string and then dipping them into liquid latex. I was wondering....

"Is that clay around the armature, then string to make the joints? Also when you dunk it repeatedly into the latex does it come out the fleshy peach tone thats you had taken a pic of before you painted it?

If so would liquitex medium do the same type of thing?

Thank you, take care and keep up the GREAT work!"

Thanks Dirt!!

It's not clay, it's epoxy putty to make solid bones and to shape the arms... the latex just forms a layer over it, so you need to sculpt the shape of the arms before dipping them. I detailed the entire process on my blog:

Building the Radke puppets part 1

Building the Radke puppets part 2

Liquitex medium won't work like latex... it's just an acrylic paint. You'd need to stop in a hobby shop and get a jar of liquid latex... they sell it for making molds. Check the links... loads of good info!

I'll be getting back to animating in the next few weeks.  As soon as the masks for my actors are finished.
