Thanks Marc for putting this site together!  I love everything about stop motion animation.  I've just decided to take a couple months away from regular life to focus purely on improving my stop motion skills so I can become talented enough to start freelancing as a stop motion animator.  So it's amazing that the creation of this site is coinciding with that as I'm looking forward to sharing what I learn as well as getting feed back from everyone here.

 Im Josh a 34 yr old from NC. Ive always been into various forms of expressive art but until recently ive never had the chance to play around with stop motion...thanx to a long line at walmart i stared at the play-doh long enough to realize 97 cents wasnt gonna break me. Since then ive been toying with different ideas. Also ive been putting my miniature building hobby to work. I used to be the table maker for our local RPG group. Hope to get to know everyone on here and have a great time learning!

Hi, I'm Brett. I have been interested in stop-motion since the 70s, when all we had was Super 8 equipment and no Internet to share ideas. I didn't do much with it past the early 80s but (I guess as part of my mid-life crisis) have started actively pursuing stop-motion filmmaking again recently... on top of my interests in hand-drawn 2D animation.

I am also a music composer and am interested in scoring for film and doing sound design. As I have offered on stopmotionanimation.com, I will compose a score your film and provide sound design for no fee as long as the film is no longer than 10 minutes, the film is only distributed non-commercially and I retain all rights to the music. For longer films or for commerical distribution, we'll have to negotiate
