John, you probably shouldn't have complied with that request quite so quickly... see, now you got us (well, me anyway) thinking we can just request stuff and it will happen immediately...

Like ferinstance, ok, no, forget the lottery.... I'll stick to possible things.

Any way all the vids could be embedded in a single thread, maybe under this one? (the threads seem to move around though). Maybe there's a page somewhere on the site where the results could be posted? I really haven't explored the full immensity of the site yet... haven't strayed far from my own page and the contests I've entered.

And, one final request (promise!)... could the contest title include the... um... wow, not sure what to call it. I mean like "June Contest: Puppet Needs A Drink" right in the title, so you can tell at a glance what each one is without having to open them all?

Heh... hey Nick, isn't it fun, not being the ones who have to actually DO all this work anymore?

Awesome!!! Congrats on a well-deserved win Shifty (or WHOEVER you are now....  src="http://www.stopmotionmagic.com/file/smile/shocked.gif" alt="" >)!

I'm glad I didn't have to judge this one though, I would have had a hard time deciding. Mine is unfinished, and more just an exercise than a microshort, Nick's of course looks totally pro, but I'm really torn between Zirconus, Jessy Offy, MetalMdcat's last one (though it's more a sketch than finished... still has a great atmosphere to it) and Monstermodelreview. All excellently done! Youneek, also very cool... doesn't seem finished though, like mine.

I'm nominating them all as runner-ups.

But of course, congratulations to everybody just for getting some animation done!! That's the whole point, isn't it?

Wow... all the contest titles now include the... um... whatever you call-ems! Good work John! You're like a genie in a bottle... now about that Lottery... I think a million would do it... ok, then a hundred thou.... or maybe you could just loan me a twenty? Aw, ferget it... I think you granted enough wishes tonight!!

Gusty(^ , thanks for embedding that for me!

And Mike, thanks for telling me how to do it.  I will test it and delete it to see if it works.  I did see 2 little windows at Youtube, one said URL, the other Embed, but when I tried to select and copy ithe URL, it didn't work.  I had to use the main url at the top of the page.  The Embed one didn't seem to want to get copied and pasted either, but I'll try again.

Just tried, I selected it, pressed Command-C to copy, but when I pasted here, nothing at all appeared.  Tried again, made sure I got the whole long thing with < at the start and > at the end:

Nope, nothing is pasted at all.  Maybe it's invisible until I post this reply?

Edit: No, that didn't do anything.  This time, opened the Youtube page with Firefox instead of Safari, selected and copied again:  No, nothing.  One more attempt, dragged it to my desktop, will try to drag it here:

file:///Users/nick/Desktop/%3Cobject%20width=%22560%22%20height=%22.textClipping

That's not the text of it at all.  Maybe I need to open the text editor, select all from that, then paste:

Well, I can open it and the text is all there, but I can't select it.  That's enough, it's past 1 AM.

*******

Big congrats to Shifty Spine - still looking for yours...

In fact I'm having a hard time finding many the entries to have a look at them.  This thread has grown a few more pages!

I liked Mike's interpretation of the topic - it said the puppet needs a drink, it didn't say he actually gets one!  Nice lateral thinking!  And I loved  JayClaycast and the drinking fountain, and the rabbit....

Another edit:

I didn't realize when you posted a list of the entries John, they were actually LINKS!  I thought it was just a list... then I accidentally moved my cursor over one....

Ok, I see the winning entry - it's got it all - pouring, drinking action, comedy, a story!

Wow, I've been so busy working on the other site upgrade that I forgot to check the winner. Congrats Shifty on your short - I will send you out that ArmatureFX kit as the winner most likely tomorrow. I see I got a message from you which I'll reply to soon. I think everyone did a great job on this one, a very tough choice for Castle to make for sure
