So what is everyone's favorite animated video on YouTube? Personally I like the Trap Door films. They are mainly for kids, so the stories are pretty simple. But I love the look of the clay, and the animators have a lot of scenes that are really detailed. Especially things like slime and water. Wow, thankyou for reminding me about Trap Door! Brilliant show. It used to be on TV when I was a kid, but I'd forgotten all about it. In fact I think I used to have a VHS tape with all the episodes on...

Hey wooly, I bet you could get even more ideas for monster designs from that show. The puppets were simple but really fun to watch. They always seem to have some kind of worm or bug crawling around in every shot. |

It amazes me that they managed to keep track of all the monsters and creepy crawlies. Even using a framegrabber it would be a nightmare, and I'm pretty sure they hadn't been invented back in the early 1980s! My favourite episode in particular features ridiculous numbers of different creatures on screen at the same time all moving in different directions in almost every scene - the logistics of it make my brain hurt! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJFAyVBGfFY&feature=related
