I like this site because it is not crowded. It is possible to watch all the new videos and forum topics. Youtube is just too popular. There are too many videos to find what you want.

I hope there are more sites like this in the future. Many specialized sites would help people find certain categories of videos. Also, there is no competition-driven advances when a single mammoth movie monolith has a monopoly.

Have you checked out MyToons also? It's like YouTube but without all of the annoying advertising and spam, and just has animation (2D, stop-motion, CG). Great site!

I signed up there, but I haven't posted anything yet. Everything there looks so professional! I'm afraid my films aren't good enough.

I created a youtube account anyway. I love this site, but many people are more comfortable viewing things on a familiar site like Youtube.
