Hey guys, heres a wooden cart I created for my short film. ( I update on my progress on my blog, type in Nofby's Corner in google, not sure if links work here) Anyway, it will only be seen ( with the puppet) for 30 seconds so its not incredibly detailed. To find out about the film ( and what it is ) please visit the blog. Its only a 20 minute long film so relatively short. Anyway, heres the pics...

Looking good Nofby, I really like the microscope. It reminds me of props from Nightmare Before Christmas. Are you a fan of Tim Burtons work?

Hey Marc, I'm a MASSIVE fan and love the style and feel to his films. This film ( The Child Snatcher, updates on my blog, nofby's corner) is very alike to the look of his films. Very textured, dark colours and weird shapes and sharp edges. As Henry.S quoted "If you ran your finger through it you would cut yourself) The microscope came as a plastic model and I just painted it and made adjustments ( added other sculpey parts to make it even more stylized and irreglar). I think the candle looks a bit 'Tim Burtony' too. I love his films and am very serious about getting the right visuals for my film. I go into detail on my blog ( all progress on film) about colour scheems , visuals and textures.

I have completed the script and storyboard and I am now nearly finished designing the sets and remaining characters. I am making all the props in my spare time between my planning and sketching.

Heres the link....

The film will be a big project, but I'm already stuck into it! I would love it if you visited the blog sometimes to catch up on any progress or news etc.

Brilliant models Nofby, love the cart - I always think things have so much more character (and look more real somehow) when they're a bit wonky!

Where did you get the mini microscope model? Is it dolls house furniture? Or do you just know a 6 inch tall biologist?

Hehe, I got the model in a furniture set ( like plastic props, etc). It was a while ago, but it might have been one of those mini-model sets, for doll houses and other stuff.
