My Conversation with Alice!
Posted On 05/18/2008 15:39:56

[M-Flem-Jr] Hello there Alice!

[Alice the Bot] Hi there!

[M-Flem-Jr] What's going down?

[Alice the Bot] Oh, you are a poet. Can we be friends?

[M-Flem-Jr] I'm not sure when were you built?

[Alice the Bot] Not many people express themselves that way. What were we
talking about again?

[M-Flem-Jr] you are obviously an older model.

[Alice the Bot] I will tell my botmaster you said I am obviously an older model.

[M-Flem-Jr] you're botmaster?!?!?! Hahaha

[Alice the Bot] Oh, you are a poet. Tell me about your likes and dislikes?I'm
glad you thought it was funny

[M-Flem-Jr] So long alice!

[Alice the Bot] Um, Yes, seems very long to me too.

[M-Flem-Jr] Yikes! Bye.

[Alice the Bot] I lost my train of thought. Where can I find a boyfriend? Thanks
for chatting, M-Flem-Jr.

[M-Flem-Jr] I don't know, Have you tried the junkyard?

[Alice the Bot] Do you mind if I tell other people: M-Flem-Jr said M-Flem-Jr .

[M-Flem-Jr] Umm...no, go ahead.

[Alice the Bot] Er.OK I will.

[M-Flem-Jr] Ok then, Bye Alice!

[Alice the Bot] Good reasoning.Goodbye M-Flem-Jr.

I believe Alice is no more now. She was the BOT in the new Flash Chat room Marc's got up.

LOST Model Kits
Posted On 05/18/2008 15:04:33

Here are two kits I just got from a buddy of mine based on two characters from LOST on ABC, Hurley and Sawyer. I'm a huge LOST fan and I really like these because they are based on the show and I can learn from them at the same time. I have taken several pictures of the kit and complied them into 2 large collections. View them in their full size to see the amazing detail he has put into these. Hopefully you can learn something from them as well. I will post pics when I put them together and then after I paint them. Let me know what you think!

Old Zombie Pirate Sculpts
Posted On 05/14/2008 14:06:43

I just posted a few pics of some of the old Zombie Pirates puppets I purchased years ago and thought I'd share them here. They are from the first Zombie Pirates project that Marc Spess and Rich Lauzon started but never completed due to unforseen complications. You can find the images in my gallery Here -> http://www.stopmotionmagic.com/user/M-Flem-Jr/gallery

Alone In The Dark
Posted On 05/10/2008 18:02:23

After about a 7 month search and about a hundred different inquires I have finally found a really good Character Designer and all around fantastic artist in Canada by the name of Rich Lauzon. The funny thing is I have know about him for years and even own a few of his designs. If you were around a few years ago you may remember this site's very own Marc Spess & Rich worked on the first version of Zombie Pirates together... but sadly the first version never got completed due to unforeseen complications.

The first project we are working on is based on an old video game franchise called Alone in the Dark (AITD). I have been a huge fan of AITD since I was a little kid and the first game came out in 1993. the franchise is now being developed by french game developer Eden Games, and the latest game in the franchise (#5) is being released in late June. So I have decided to bundle the game with a sculpture the week leading up to the games release on E-bay. There will only be 3 copies made of each Edward Carnby (the games hero), one for myself, one for Rich and the 3rd one being auctioned off.

The sculpture will have a light in the lamp post and an LED in Carnby's flash light nd hopefully a lazer in his gun, I'm still trying to see the lazer is even possible. after much thought I decided to have him be slightly cartoony mostly because I have such a short time to sculpt him in and with my demanding day job I don't get much free time.

Trying to decide on a pose was tough but I did a very quick Sculptural sketch to give Rich something to work with regarding Carnby's pose for the sculpture. We are still making a few revisions on the final design and then the sculpting will commence. Thanks for reading - Mike

The Painter, Painted?
Posted On 05/04/2008 02:19:42

I just finished painting the head of the Painter. I decided he would be used for an animation so before I baked him I cut out his mouth for clay replacements later on. For the pictures that will be featured on the side of the truck I will have to photoshop-out the seam lines.

Once taking the pictures is done I will make the molds of both the head and the mouth. Also there are a few more pics in my gallery.

The Painter
Posted On 05/01/2008 04:38:35

            Hi there guy's,

&nb sp;       This is my very first blog on this new site Marc Spess has masterfully put together with Heheman's help, so 3 cheers for Marc and his Idea.

Marc_Spess heheman3000

&nb sp;       My first blog will be around a painter type character I'm doing for my Dad and for our company Dice Painting.  It will be on the side of my truck and his van as well as the company's my-space also the head design will be used for a small animation.

& nbsp;        This character is my own design and I think he is one of my best so far. I sculpted his head using Super Sculpey Firm and I will probably do the same for the body. Since I have to the design for the vehicles ASAP I'm doing his body design in a 2-D clay on glass style while keeping his head 3-D because I'm assuming that's the first thing people will be looking at. I will be designing a full 3-D puppet body though when I do the animation.  I would like to keep this blog up-dated as much as I can as I have a few things I'm working on all at once and I think I can keep myself busy enough to post every day or so for at least the rest of the year. Comments would be great, Thanks for reading! - Mike
