Man, what a weekend! Totally crazy cool stuff went down...The Pit and the Pendulum wins BEST SHORT at Crypticon Seattle on Friday Nite, then Sunday Nite we win the JURY AWARD for BEST SHORT FILM at the prestigious Toronto Hispano-American Film Festival, and to top it off, I spent the better part of the week perusing the 2008 Indy 500 Formula Races! Much fanfare erupted from our little spot in the sun on the bleachers, as the winner of this year's Indy 500 (Dixon) is a native New Zealander, a compatriot of my good buddy, director Andrew Hunt, also a native New Zealander! Brilliant. We had phenomenal seats, which kept me tied up and away from the fests over the weekend...but no worries, as The Pit and the Pendulum rocked the house without me...how cool is that?
