Viewing 1 - 2 out of 2 Blogs.
Just heard back from ACME Computers (my new favouritest place! and they were able to extract the drive from the case no problem - I just need to buy a new case (the pretty mirrored one!) and I'm good to go - so as soon as it's ordered in I'm back in business! Will post pics of the setup/camera rigs once I get them back.
Previously - My external hard drive has broken (the usb connection came loose - apparently a common problem with this model.) It's under warranty so I get a new one - but loose the 300GB of data! Including the high def version of Judder, and almost all of the animation files, documentation, everything. I found someone to try to recover the data (for free, because he really wants to take one apart!) but it's not likely at all that anything will survive. :( Next time I'm getting two mirrored externals!!
Alright, my first blog! I'm going to give this a try. I uploaded some images - the external is damaged so have to wait for that to get any more. The characters from set 1 are photographed with my cell to give an idea of the scale - they were so awkward to even attempt subtle movement with! The other two kids from Judder were about 6" tall and the difference was amazing, I can't even imagine how lovely a 8 or 10" puppet would be to play with! The other is a painting-in-progress shot of my new character, who will be, fittingly enough, a painter! Slowed down by exams at the moment but hope to get him finished by Wednesday or so if possible. I read about the new Eye-Fi and I'm excited! After losing 10 seconds of animation on a faulty SD Card (it took the pictures, played back at the time, then died on me before I could transfer them) I'm excited by this option! That and switching to a Canon in the distant future.
